Merged Contacts
When CANDDi identifies that two website visitors relate to the same ‘real-world’ person then CANDDi will merge these items together automatically.
When the contact is unknown, this happens because CANDDi puts a few cookies onto the web browser of every visitor. Every time a visitor on a new web browser visits your site then we create a new Contact. When a visitor comes from multiple web browsers on the same machine then we can join these Contacts together. This produces an ‘unknown / unknown’ merged contact.
When the contact is known, then it happens as visitors complete forms on your website. CANDDi captures the personal information and saves this into the Contact record. CANDDi spots duplicates within this personal information and when CANDDi is confident that these are the same two Contacts then we merge them.
